Simple French Colors
Like other French adjectives, simple colors agree in gender and number with the noun they modify, and they always come after the noun. Colors ending in non-accented E remain the same in the feminine form.
Note that the colors marron and orange never change (don’t add E when feminine or S in the plural form). Click here for an advanced lesson the big list of French colors, and learn why some are always invariable. Click here for a lesson on 53 advanced colors.
