| RENDRE je rends tu rends il rend nous rendons vous rendez ils rendent | To make in the sense of making you feel a certain way. Ça me rend triste. That makes me sad. Use rendre to say something makes you sad, happy, nervous, ill, etc. |
| DONNER je donne tu donnes il donne nous donnons vous donnez ils donnent | To make in the sense of making you hungry, thirsty, hot, cold. Tu me donnes faim. You are making me hungry. |
