French adjectives ending in VOWEL + N

Most French adjectives are regular. However, many of them are irregular. Make adjectives ending in VOWEL + N feminine by doubling the N and adding E.

The adjective in the following example falls into the BAGS category, which means it is placed before the noun.

GOOD – BON

Masculine singular

👉 bon

👉 C’est un bon restaurant.

Masculine plural

👉 bons

👉 Ce sont de bons restaurants.

Feminine singular

👉 bonne

👉 C’est une bonne idée.

Feminine plural

👉 bonnes

👉 Ce sont de bonnes idées.
